The great state of Kentucky henceforth will no longer be known for its bourbon, horses or basketball. Rather, the Bluegrass State will be known forevermore as the home of an American hero named Dakota Meyer…Marine Sergeant Dakota Meyer…Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer.
As ol’ Bocephus asks… “Are you ready for some football?” ‘Tis the season to strap on the pads, play some smash-mouth, run the ball for three yards and a cloud of dust, and all the other testosterone-laden comments that define the Boys of Fall.
Finally, it’s crystallized for me. I’ll give credit to Reverend Dick Mills of Hement, California, for piecing it together. He wrote: “Sameness begets tameness, and tameness begets lameness.”
I appreciate expertise. I especially admire people who can do the things I can’t. Those people who have chosen a field that is foreign to me, and excel at that trade, have my utmost respect. The sum of the working parts comes together to insure a thriving, successful community.
