There’s no other way to put it than to say, “We have some great business partners that are doing great things in the community.” I’ll add to that, that there are some out there in the metropolitan area doing great things and we have yet to find each other to determine how we might best collaborate to do even more.
I think my dad was a genius. In retrospect, he was able to do things without any of the modern day gadgetry or electronic assistance. As an example, he was able to get our family from St. Louis to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida every year by using a paper map – a TripTik to be exact.
It is Monday, July 15. Another day in a hot, sticky St. Louis summer. St. Louis may not be number one on humidity, hot haze and horrendous heat, but we’re surely on the short list close to the top. Starting about this time every year, the asphalt borders on combustible, and prayers for sound air-conditioning units hit a crescendo.
Are there better commercials on TV than the Dos Equis beer commercials? This is a rhetorical question, of course. You know the answer is “no.” They are hilarious, especially if you’re a guy. No question, the brewer’s target market is young males who drink beer and love machismo. Being a young male (in my mind) who loves an occasional “cold one” while wearing a muscle shirt, there are no commercials more entertaining. (more…)
There’s always somebody putting out a list of their favorites. Here’s mine.
Favorite Gas Station Convenience Store: QT (any one of them…they are all the same)
Favorite Lunch Spot: City Diner on North Grand
Favorite Tie Store: Burlington Coat Factory/Ross For Less (I’m sloppy and they are cheap)
