Just under 160 strong, this group of outstanding men and women decided to work in the community on Columbus Day, helping to brighten the lives of our many residents. They swapped this potential holiday for a different day off later in the year so that they could hit the pavement and help to make St. Louis a better place. How’s that for cool? (more…)

Patience Is Required When Driving Across State Lines

highway bridgeI like to drive on highways meant to carry people for long distances. Certain trips are way too long, and I use only a short distance of my favorite highway to get from my house to the airport, but those trips that fall in the four-to five-hour range via highway are no problem. I enjoy the quiet time of just me and some heavy metal headbashing music on the radio. Just kidding. I’m a big fan of the inane drivel of sports talk radio.     (more…)

Pity Isn’t Pretty

He went on to rock the congregation’s world in his usual eloquent and captivating way with a message that brought self-awareness to the forefront. It went something like this.

Adventures in Insurance Coding

doctor facepalmingA couple of days ago was October 1. Something happened on that day that will more than likely serve to increase our health insurance costs yet again. UGH! We need a lot of things right now, but an increase in our insurance costs is not one of them. Increasing the cost of anything is painful to a nation filled with hard-working men and women trying to save a few bucks. Saving money seems fruitless in many families, and yet more costs for a doctor’s visit loom on the horizon. (more…)
